Dr. Tanya Jackson is the CEO and founder of TSJ Financial Services and Consulting, LLC. She has over 30 years of experience in government and corporate financial management and budget administration. Dr. Jackson is a recognized leader in the accounting and finance industries at the federal, state, and local levels of government. She currently owns and operates a Georgia minority woman-owned business. She is committed to providing exceptional accounting and financial, tax preparation, and other business advisory services. 

Prior to launching TSJ, Dr. Jackson's experience included serving as an Assistant State Auditor for the State of North Carolina, Assistant VP for Business and Finance and Budget Director at Fayetteville State University, and a Public Service Assistant in the Governmental Training, Education, and Development Division of the University of Georgia's Carl Vinson Institute of Government where she conducted specialized training and certification to finance officers, elected officials and others who serve in local governments and state agencies. She also served as the Finance Manager for GCPS Retirement Services prior to being appointed by the Honorable Mayor Shirley Franklin as the City of Atlanta's Chief Investment Officer of the Pensions and Investments Division. She served the City as a Deputy CFO and Chief of Budget and Fiscal Policy for the City of Atlanta for the remainder of the Franklin administration. Dr. Jackson continued to advance her career from local government to the state government level where she served as a Senior Fiscal Policy Analyst for the Governor's Office of Planning & Budget and Governor Nathan Deal. Her duties included the preparation of the Governor's annual state budget, budget development, and fiscal oversight of state agencies. Dr. Jackson’s robust expertise in fiscal policy, research, and training prompted her advancement to the State Accounting Office where she developed and updated process documentation for SAO and other state agencies, conducted policy research and analysis, and provided interpretation and implementation guidance for new accounting and reporting standards. 

Dr. Jackson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fayetteville State University. She also earned an MBA and Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting and Finance from Trident University International. She is a very active volunteer in her community as well as surrounding communities and has served as a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated for 34 years. Dr. Jackson has been married for 33 years to US Army 1SG (Ret) Kenneth Jackson "aka" Coach Jackson (CGHS Golf) and they have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren.
